“It’s not just getting a second opinion from another doctor, which I also think is important, but in my case I got a second opinion on my pathology, because that pathology had come in that it was negative,” the 59-year-old star said during a new interview on Today. “And I just had that gut [feeling]! And a girlfriend of mine who had had breast cancer twice suggested getting a pathology second opinion, and that’s really the thing that made all the difference.”
