Dolly Parton, Rita Wilson, Monica, Jordin Sparks & Sara Evans have teamed up for an emotional county pop tune that looks forward to the day when pink is “just another color.”

The inspiring song from Wilson and the powerhouse group of country, pop and R&B superstars dropped on Thursday (Oct. 22), and benefits the Susan G. Komen breast cancer organization.

“Someday/ Pink will just be a color/ Not a ribbon to remember/ A best friend or a mother/ Someday/ You won’t have to put a wig on/ And a baseball cap will just be a hat/ Not somethin’ to hide under/ ‘Cause your hair is gone/ Someday’s comin’ any day,” Parton and Monica sing in the opening verse.

Wilson will also perform at the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday (Oct. 24) as part of the 12th annual Opry Goes Pink show along with Lauren Alaina, Little Big Town, and Victoria Shaw with Erin Kinsey.

“The song is not just for someone who is a survivor or going through breast cancer treatment, it is for anyone who loves someone who has been impacted by breast cancer. That’s what I love about the song, and I’m so excited to return to the Opry to sing it live,” Wilson, a breast cancer survivor, said in a statement.

Breast cancer kills more than 42,000 women and men annually in the U.S., with 1 in 8 women facing a diagnosis at some point in her lifetime. The Opry show will air at 8:00 p.m. ET on Circle and Gray TV stations as well as DISH Studio Channel 102, Sling TV, and other TV affiliates in addition to a livestream hosted by four-time CMA nominee Carly Pearce on Circle All Access Facebook, YouTube and Twitter; The Opry can also be heard on 650 WSM-AM, wsmonline.com, and SiriusXM: Willie’s Roadhouse.

According to the release, an in-venue audience of 1,100 is expected for the show, in compliance with Nashville Public Health Department guidelines for socially distanced seating, mandatory masks for all guests and staff and enhanced cleaning practices.

“We are extremely honored that these amazing artists have lent their immense talents to help us give a moment of hope and inspiration to everyone touched by breast cancer,” said Paula Schneider, CEO of Susan G. Komen, in a statement about the song (written by Kinsey, Jodi Marr and Shaw). “As a breast cancer survivor who lost my mother to metastatic breast cancer, I know first-hand the toll this disease takes on entire families. There is life before breast cancer and life after. We all dream of a world when pink is just another color.”
